Aprilia Dorsoduro 750

This Dorsoduro 750 is my personal bike. It’s been through a lot, including a serious accident just one week before our wedding. Despite being bruised and battered, I managed to build our wedding location and attend the big day.

After the crash, I did a full damage assessment. We laser-measured the chassis and confirmed that the main frame hadn’t taken any structural damage. With that green light, the rebuild began.

The subframe had taken a hit, so I decided to rework it. It’s now shortened and coated in a vivid red powder coat that stands out against the deep black bodywork. The seat was reshaped to match the new lines and reupholstered to a much cleaner silhouette.

I designed and fabricated a custom stainless steel link pipe that connects to a pair of Black Widow mufflers, with end caps styled to complement the lines and aesthetics of the custom rear fairing. The setup is compact, clean, and produces a sound that’s every bit as mean as it looks. Out back, I 3D-scanned the tail section to CAD design a new rear fairing from scratch. That fairing was 3D printed and houses two compact, E-mark approved tail lights that integrate brake, running, and signal functions seamlessly.

The license plate bracket is built from stainless steel, designed to fit tight to the tire without disrupting the visual flow. All original plastics were refinished in high-gloss black, keeping things stealthy and letting the frame do the talking.

Up front, I mounted two HIGHSIDER bar-end mirrors with a clean, low-profile design.

This Dorsoduro isn’t just a motorcycle anymore. It’s a story of impact, resilience, and creation. And most importantly, it’s mine.
